ISA PADDLE BOARD INSTRUCTOR
I have over 10 years experience as a SUP Instructor and love passing on my enthusiasm for the sport to others. My favourite place to paddle is Poole Harbour, touring round the 5 islands and enjoying the beauty the area has to offer. I’m equally happy to tour local rivers and relish the challenge of the open sea. I paddle all year round, and am very disappointed if conditions are not right to paddle on New Years Eve! In my opinion, Winter paddles are the best with an atmosphere you just don’t find in the warmer months. . I’m also a professional saxophonist and have a gorgeous black fluffy rescue cat called Teddy!

I love helping nervous paddlers to build their confidence on the water and am passionate about promoting safer paddling for all. I strongly feel SUPing is for EVERYONE with no barriers of age or physique.
SUPscene365 works in collaboration with SUP Inflatables to power the Wimborne Paddle Board School. This gives us a base to work from in Wimborne with access to premium equipment for those who do not have their own as well as free car parking, toilet and changing facilities.
This runs hand in hand with the more nomadic side of SUPscene 365 operating in a wide variety of locations to suit our individual paddle boarders.
if you are looking to purchase a new board, Gary and Emma at SUP Inflatables will give you the best advice - come along and try before you buy.
We love passing on the skills of how to stand up on a paddle board for the very first time but also have a strong focus on all aspects of safety. A very first lesson will include prone paddling and kneeling so you gain full control of the board before attempting the all important standing and using the correct paddle stroke. . How to fall in safely and self rescue will also be covered. Future lessons cover improving paddle technique, more advanced turns and how to gain strength and speed.
Dorset is an incredible place to paddle board, and our lessons and tours will introduce you to a variety of adventures including the River Stour in Wimborne, the rivers Stour and Avon at Christchurch, Poole Harbour including Brownsea Island, stunning Old Harry Rocks and much more.
I am a strong advocate for safety on the water and promote this in every session as well as running specific SUP Safety Skills sessions. I aim to educate my paddlers on reading tidal, wind and river conditions as well as giving them the physical skills to self rescue and help others who may be struggling to get back on their board. This all leads towards safe independent paddling.
Paddleboarding isn’t just for summer, and in the colder months you will have access to premium paddleboarding clothing including drysuits to keep you paddling on those stunning crisp winter days that are, in many ways, more special than the warmer summer months.
Tours are organised as and when weather and tidal conditions allow. They will be posted on the SUPscene365 Facebook page. If you would like to be messaged directly about tour dates please email me using the link at the bottom of this page.

Elaine is the most patient and inspiring teacher of skills I have come across. She is a tremendously fun person to learn to SUP with and has this kind of easy ability to inspire a ‘light bulb’ moment that sort of opens the doors to understanding of technique.
I was terrified and now I am not. I couldn’t stand up and now I can. I had a dream of paddleboarding and now it’s a reality. If anyone wants to learn and enjoy this sport then Elaine’s sessions, both private and group, come highly recommended.
It was such a fabulous evening. Will definitely do it again. Thanks so much Elaine!
This was the most wonderful evening activity - Elaine your sessions are awesome
Elaine is a brilliant instructor, couldn’t recommend more highly. She took me and my Mum for our first lesson, got us hooked and even helped me choose a new board. Super knowledgeable and her lessons/tours are always fun and safe.
Elaine is a careful, thoughtful and encouraging SUP instructor. Have enjoyed some of her challenging but fun group training and personal sessions.
